Georgia Mallory Guy Bio
Georgia Mallory Guy (EMC) is a professional actor/singer/dancer. She has worked regionally with Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Asolo Repertory Theatre, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre, American Stage Theatre, Tampa Repertory Theatre, and many more. Georgia is originally from central Alabama and was a music lover from birth. Both of her parents are musicians so Georgia was singing in front of audiences at a very young age. She started dancing at the age of 7, after seeing a production of 42 Street and started playing oboe at age12. She went on to attend Troy University, then Troy State University, with scholarships for oboe and musical theatre. Here she earned degrees in Music Education, Communications/Theatre, and a minor in Vocal Performance. Georgia entered the Ohio University Professional Actor Training Program and spent three years in intense actor training before graduating with her MFA in 2010. While there she studied such methods as Meisner (2 year progression), Michael Chekhov, Linklater, Fitzmaurice, IPA, Viewpoints, Laban, stage combat, and others. She also taught a number of different classes ranging from Acting for non-majors to Warm-up for the Actor, and Linklater Voice for Theatre majors. After grad school she accepted the highly coveted internship with Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. Georgia also has a number of directing and choreography credits. She has a deep history with education, high school and independent youth theatre programs, as well as numerous wining dance teams around Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. She is an accomplished instrumentalist and, while oboe is her primary instrument, she also plays flute, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, and piano. From time to time, her instrumental abilities make their way into a play; these have been some of her most cherished roles. Georgia has a good deal of on camera and voice over experience, (she request you please view/listen to her reels). She also has a good of experience in stage combat, especially hand-to-hand, broad sword, rapier, and bow staff. She currently calls the beautiful Tampa Bay area home, where she resided with her husband, Traveis, and her cat, Sophie.
